The Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, are prestigious accolades presented each year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize outstanding achievements in the film industry. Yesterday, the 96th edition of the Academy Awards ceremony took place in Hollywood, Los Angeles.

Oppenheimer turned out to be the ultimate blockbuster, bagging a whopping 7 awards in various categories, the picture received a total of 13 nominations. At the same time, Poor Things won 5 awards surprising everyone. Whereas Barbie only won a single award for Best Original Song for the song What Was I Made For? out of eight nominations.
