The 28 days later series

The initial film of this series hit the screens in 2002. It was an absolutely spine-chilling horror flick featuring Cillian Murphy as “Jim”, Naomie Harris as “Selena”, Megan Burns as “Hannah”, and Brendan Gleeson as “Frank.”

It was one of the movies of its time to have alternative endings, in one Jim, the leading cast of the movie dies of a gunshot wound, and in the other the virus breakout was just a dream.

The 2002 movie collected $83 million worldwide on a budget of $5 million, which makes it one of the most profitable horror movies of all time.

In 2007, a sequel to the movie was released called “28 Weeks Later“, which collected over $64 million worldwide with a budget of $15 million, the movie was a hit, but it didn’t quite live up to the first one. Some critics claimed that the fans weren’t too pleased with the 2nd part because the cast had been changed. *(Wikipedia)
